As a lifelong Effingham County resident, Laura Thompson brings more than 20 years of local knowledge and a deep commitment to her community to her real estate career. A dedicated homeschool mother of three, she values family, faith, and the importance of creating a home that truly reflects one’s lifestyle and priorities.

Together with her husband, Laura has spent the past two decades as a successful entrepreneur, building and managing multiple thriving businesses. This experience has instilled in her a strong work ethic, refined negotiation skills, and a genuine dedication to serving others with integrity and excellence.

After selling their home service company, Thompson & Thompson, nearly four years ago, Laura and her husband began exploring real estate investing and quickly discovered a true passion for helping others achieve homeownership. That passion inspired her to pursue her real estate license, combining her love for people, business acumen, and commitment to community.

While she works with both buyers and sellers, Laura especially enjoys helping buyers find the perfect home, whether they’re purchasing their first property, relocating, or searching for their forever home. Her clients appreciate her patience, professionalism, and dedication to making the buying process as smooth and enjoyable as possible.


When she isn’t working with clients, Laura enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cheering on her kids at their sporting events, participating in local gatherings, and supporting the community she’s proud to call home. She is also an active volunteer and leader with the Savannah Jaguars Athletic Association, a nonprofit homeschool athletic program that provides students the opportunity to compete in organized sports while fostering teamwork, discipline, and community.
